Bare bones

So - you will notice something about my blog that sets it apart from others you might read. My blog - contains - no - photos!

Yes, I am setting myself to a higher standard, a new branch of the internet - words without advantage of a pretty picture to illustrate the point. No where else will you find such a bold take on things, such an avant garde approach to blogging - words!

Ok, so this obviously is not as noble as I'd hope it could be - mostly its because I'm not much into posting photos. You see, at work I am a computer wizard. I can't program anything but as for how to use the system, I am the expert in my lab. I'd like to think I am nothing all that special, but compared to my counterparts there - I'm an expert.

Which sometimes makes me laugh because as an internet persona - I am such a weakling in the computer world. I walk through the doors of my home and suddenly any confidence I might have had to try new things fades quickly. I suppose its completely possible for me to post photos and such - especially with my new fangled high speed internet - but I find myself not wanting to bother.

Sometimes, there is a great comfort in being able to say - eh, I don't know how to do that; or - eh, I'm no good at that, you are *so* much better (which flatters the respondent and sets up the opportunity for an offer to help!) Its not so bad being the one who has to ask the questions rather than the one who answers them.
