Philosophical Conversations

This weekend I worked with a coworker I don't get to see very often. It was my last weekend to work in this position and the last chance to work with her. Since it was just the two of us, we got into these huge conversations that we often get into. We like to discuss religion and our differences in viewpoints are respected on both sides so the challenges to each other are thought provoking and incredibly open. We also talk about our struggles in life and our quest for something bigger. We also laugh a lot - both of us blessed with a wicked sense of humour and plenty able to laugh at ourselves.

I will miss my times with her - such a friend is rare. We made a commitment to start a regular get together once a month with some of our other coworkers. I truly hope we do that because I work with an incredible group of people and though I'll still be around when I'm in my new position, I worry that I will end up a little out of the loop.

And I like that loop.
